Title: Pretty gloss
Review: I’ll be honest, I’m usually just a chapstick girl. I often wear makeup & enjoy trying new products out, but I’ve just never loved having things on my lips. Personal preference.So, when I do wear any type of lipstick, lip stain, liquid lip, gloss, etc., it’s usually to an event, date night, photos, something like that.I do like to keep a nice gloss with a touch of color in my bag for in emergency situations lol, just never know when you suddenly might need to look a bit more put together.I saw this Laura Mercier lip glacé & was intrigued. I love her translucent power, highlighter & concealer. I used mostly Laura Mercier products for my wedding look.I choose the shade Melon Sorbet, a peachy nude shade, & it’s very pretty. My skin tone is fairly neutral toned, but if I get tan in summer it can lean warm/ olive. I haven’t gotten much sun in recent weeks & this color helps bring a bit of warmth to my face & lips.It’s definitely sheer, you can build it up a bit of you want. It has some very small shimmers, but nothing that looks gaudy, overdone or feels weird.This shade looks nice with warm toned blushes & bronzer as well. However, if you have deeper shaded lips this might look a bit milky. There was a nice selection of other shade options though & after trying this 1 & liking it, I’ll grab another.I’ve worn it over a lip stain just once to see how I liked it & it didn’t pull any of the stain’s color with it & sat nicely on top. I haven’t worn it over a lipstick yet, but I expect it to look nice over that too & just add pretty shine.It’s not sticky, you can rub your lips together without feeling they are stuck that way. Thank goodness glosses evolved from the sticky messes of the late 90s & early 2000s of my youth.Because it’s a gloss/ lip glass, I wasn’t expecting it to be long wearing, I expect to have to reapply glosses during the day. It hung in longer than I thought it would though. I looked in the mirror 4 hours after applying & could still see some shine & color. I went ahead & reapplied then & had no problems adding another layer over the 1st & I didn’t expect to. It’s a nice applicator & spread the product well.The only issue I had was with it sitting well on slightly dry lips. My lips were a bit chapped the 1st time I tried this, it didn’t look great. I usually expect a gloss to be slightly hydrating & go on ok over dry lips. In this case, I don’t think it was the gloss itself, but the pigment, that clung strangely to dryer areas. After I exfoliated my lips some, it went on fine. The next time I used it, I applied a little bit of chapstick a few mins prior & that helped any dry areas I might have had.The product is a decent size, you’ll get a good amount of use from this. It’s definitely not cheap, but honestly, nothing in this line is & if it’s a good, quality product I’m ok with that.Overall, this is a beautiful lip product by itself or worn over others. It can definitely be used as a lip highlight to help lips look fuller, but maybe take precautionary measures if you know you have dry prone lips.

Title: Perfect for no makeup days
Review: I love weekend where I don’t have to do a full face of makeup. It’s a great opportunity to give my skin time to breathe, but I also like to be able to add a little color and moisture to my lips to keep them hydrated.I have used colored lip oil, but I don’t care for the stickiness I often feel with most brands, so I thought I’d give this a try.I have used Laura Mercier products in the past and I trust the brand and the quality and this gloss did not disappoint.The formula is lightweight and very moisturizing with just a hint of shimmer and color, which I love. This gloss does not become tacky and has great staying power, even after eating or drinking, I can still feel the smoothness of this on my lips.I love the variety of colors and feel that most of these would flatter any complexion. I am definitely keeping this in my makeup bag and will be ordering additional colors.

Title: Pretty but wears off quickly
Review: The color is gorgeous right off the bat, but it’s a gloss, so obviously not going to stick long.Probably wouldn’t buy this again. If I’m spending $40 on lip color it needs to stick for more than an hour.
