The Miss South Africa Organization has launched an app that promises to bring fans closer to the brand than ever before.
Offering exclusive content, giveaways, online workshops, behind-the-scenes content, streaming events and more, the Miss South Africa Organization invites pageant fans to become “part of the brand”.
Through the app, users are promised the opportunity to get to know the finalists, view exclusive challenges, content, and vote to secure their favourite’s place in the competition.
In an Instagram video titled, “Why the Miss SA app”, Weill says: “Become part of the brand, whether it be via our shop, or getting in touch with us directly. We want to feel like you have an insight into what we’re doing all the time. And social media can sometimes get very crowded.”
Although the app is free to download and offers a variety of free content, a “premium all-access” subscription comes with a R299.99 price tag. This appears to be a once-off amount, however, it does not specify.
Premium Access includes exclusive content, giveaways, online workshops, access to streaming events, a rare look inside finale week, streaming ticket to the pageant finale, post-show interviews – and access to early-bird tickets.
A monthly subscription will set you back R6.99 and includes monthly beauty tutorials, workshops, never-before-seen moments and exclusive content and giveaways.

I think this initiative is meant for fans who are interested in watching the judging process and behind the stage. I don’t think it’s anything more than that. Those who wish to subscribe will and those who are not interested it’s also okay.
