Between 1994 and 2000 India enjoyed one of the most incredible eras of success at the Alpha pageants. Two Miss Universe crowns, four at Miss World, and two instances of the “Alpha Double” in that time – winning both titles in the same year.
With six Miss World titles overall, India is tied with Venezuela for the most blue crowns.
Recent results at both pageants, and the selection of two spectacular delegates to represent their country at this December’s competitions, have given some followers the hope another golden age is about to begin.

Manasa Varanasi is strongest Miss India World contender since Manushi Chillar. However I think Adline Castellino was a better candidate than Harnaaz and she had more time to prepare..
