This was and continues to be everything.
Oh my god are used to love this I remember seeing it live in 1990 N I videotaped it on my VCR and I watched it over and over again I’m so sa to see that the video is down
The two chicks with the black guy are fine 💃😍💃😍.
This is such a vague memory, as I was 7, but I recall just LOVING this and I always remembered the song. It’s so cool to see it again. I was so excited because Debbye Turner won from my home state, Missouri! I remember wanting so badly to be in pageants after seeing this and maybe for a few weeks I was determined to become a beauty queen (lol!) I so clearly remember asking my beloved babysitter, a college student, why, at 19, she wasn’t going all out to become a beauty queen as she was the prime age. I mean, WHY wouldn’t she want to?! I remember her answer was something like “not everyone wants to be in pageants—I’m studying to become a teacher.” Lol!!
Back when the Miss America Pageant was a classy event.
I’ve never forgotten this segment, it was done so well. I miss the Scott Salmon Dancers, they were spectacular. Nice to see this again.
Wow so beautiful
What hair! Sheepdogs and poodles…gosh…no beauties here..
sparkling red in honor of V-day!
Debbie Turner was exquisite.
That was done so beautifully!
That was a very special Miss America Pageant broadcast September 16, 1989. Debbie Turner was crowned Miss America 1990. "Lady In Red" was the best musical number I have ever seen in the pageant in years. High quality standards, production values. Good camermen. MIchelle Kline (Miss Pennsylvania) was who I was cheering for that year. She sang opera. Thank you socal0123 for sharing this clip on YouTube.
This was the Best of all the production numbers in the history of Miss America. So glad to see it again.
@Joe G. they are around 45, not 55
I'm posting January 2015. To think…..All these women now are all over the age of 55.
I remember the night that was on. IT was a Saturday Night.
