What's the big deal? It would be much more of a worthy announcement if she had chosen to be a Firefighter or an Astronaut or even a stay-at-home Mom. Making a lifestyle choice to live her life as a lesbian doesn't mean anything. Deciding to live a homosexual lifestyle doesn't mean anything more than, say, deciding to wear bellbottom pants or a miniskirt. Society has surely gotten screwed up if it thinks that type of announcement is a big deal.

Is there ANYWAY possible, please if there is I beg of you, to bring up Shani Nielsen's top ten talent for that year, b/cv I watched it over and over again so many times that my vhs copy broke and now the MAO offices I was told have put a freeze on all sales of past pageants EVEN THOUGHT THEY FINALLY SETTLED THE DECADES LONG DISPUTE WITH THE LEGAL HEIRS TO THE BERNIE WAYNE ESTATE, THE MAN WHO IS SAID TO HAVE WRITTEN THE RUNWAY SONG ON A DINNER NAPKIN IN UNDER 30 MINUTES! I HAD ALREADY SEEN LINDA EDER IN JEKYLL & HYDE AND THAT SONG SHANI SINGS, "IN HIS EYES, WASSO REMINISCENT OF A YOUNG BARBRA STREISAND AND HERE ITS ONLY (I THINK) THE END OF THE FIRST ACT. BUT SHANI IS ONE UNBELIEVABLE MICROPHONE SINGER, RESULTING IN THIS SEEMINGLY EFFORTLESS (TRULY A GIFT SHE WAS BORN WITH) WAY WITH PITCH AND INTONATION THAT I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE AND HAVENT SEEN SINCE. P.S. I don't think that year's Miss KY came out as a lesbian – Miss KY 2010 did though.
