This is the only year it seems the contestants genuinely liked and supported each other.
It was obvious that Erica's personality let the judges took notice of her and scored her high in her talent competition and in the end, let her win the crown. This segment may not be judged but it certainly can influence the judges to give you a high score.

I loved the questions. Dunlap answered well. Hawaii not much so. I was in the audience here, and Marina Harrison was by the the hall's choice. She was a gem and all the boos when she is announced lower RU were louder and longer than was made out to be.
they're so animated, luv it!…I think it was the best top 5 Miss America announcing so far…they root for each other & they still look natural doing it. =)

I was pulling for Miss Maryland to win. I was actually shocked when Miss Florida did win. But she has the best gown.
