VIEWERS are calling the 2021 Miss America Pageant pageant a literal “dumpster fire” in terms of how it was produced.
People are taking to social media left and right to blast the latest iteration of the beauty contest, blaming anything from lighting and transitions to poor mics and music.
“A live look at the Miss America pageant’s production quality,” wrote one user on Twitter before adding a gif of a dumpster on fire floating through a flooded road.
Others, somehow, had even harsher critiques for the show.
“What is GOING ON with the sound, the transitions, the two former queens, etc? It’s just flowing so poorly,” someone else tweeted.
In response to their tweet, someone commented: “Put a fork in it. It’s over. This is embarrassing,” while another commenter said “The hosts seem like they just learned to read. Or they’re too bored to care.”

Although I didn't see it this year, and based on all these comments, Bert Parks must be spinning in his grave over this. I used to catch the Miss America pageant just to find out who the runners-up are; as well as who won. It's just not the same anymore.

It was embarrassing…and its not a beauty contest nor a pageant (anymore) its a "scholarship program" full of chatty, preachy virtue signaling. A complete and utter horror. Please bring a few male judges back for some BALANCE and I hope the new Miss American doesn't miss any doses of her medication.

Although iam so proud of our new 100th Miss America, Emma Broyles, Iam so fucking pissed off i was not able to watch the 100th anniversary Miss America telecast last night, on network television iam not pleased and i call bullshit on this, don't they realize that everybody don't have cable and live stream tv? i don't have no fucking cable nor live stream tv and Pharoh.B is right this Miss America 2.0 bullshit is not working, it is time to put the Miss America Pageant back in September, back in Atalantic City were it started and if not at Convention hall, at least build a Miss America Theatre with runway, hotel resort and casino, the revenue from the Hotel and Casino with fund the Miss America Organization and schlorship fund.
Certainly better than last year.
For that to be the 100th anniversary is just mind blowing! That used to be an event, and now it is barely an afterthought. Those girls work hard and deserved better. Haven’t they realized that Miss America 2.0 is not working. Just shameful

Last night's pageant was nothing short of a debacle. It was very very amateurish in its production. And, someone correct me if I’m wrong, I could see blocks of EMPTY seats? Bring back a proper emcee and co host. Reinstate the evening gown comp and get a proper judging panel together. It was great to see the former MA’s being the judges but you need MORE than 3 people! And put the pageant back on regular tv! This streaming from tonight is one for the birds!
Time to end this run. Not interesting any more.
