  1. As a christian woman myself, I have prayed for my husband of almost 30 years to come to Christ for our family but it hasn't happened yet. God blessed this family.

  2. I definitely seen the Blind movie. My husband and I went yesterday and my husband said it humbled him. For me,it reminded me how my Dad also was an alcoholic but,God in His mercy Saved him. Jesus Saved me first, I became Born again, then my family..although my Dad would say he got Saved when he was a child. I believe he knew about God but received Jesus as his Lord and Saviour later on..

  3. Your family’s story has impacted me. I grew up in the same type of environment and didn’t know how to love properly and always searched for it in the wrong things. I found it in Jesus after 19 years. God is still working on my family but I believe in my heart that Jesus has big plans for my family and I just thank you all for sharing your story in obedience. We all have a story to tell!

  4. I was married to a violent alcoholic for 8-1/2 years. They don’t call alcohol ‘spirits’ for nothing. He was a great husband, father, was an engineer for the railroad, was VERY intelligent, but could not quit. I did not/do not drink, and hate it. He said he started in the Army. I believe it. He was the type that would go for a loaf of bread and call you from Dallas 5-1/2 hours away later that night. I finally had enough one day and told him he had hit me for the last time. I had our young 7 year old son to think of, as well. His lawyer told him on the last DWI, he’d be doing prison time if he got another. He said he’d kill himself before he went there. All he had to do was quit, but after his 7th or 8th, shortly after separating, he got another one and took his life. It was so sad because there were many continuous prayers all throughout the years going up from myself, my mother, and my grandmother, but the devil won. Praise God my son is nothing like that. He saw the example of his father and to never be anything like that because alcohol destroys lives. Not just the alcoholic, but everyone’s. My son is grown, lives in Nashville, and is an amazing keyboard player, and producer. He never had lessons, God anointed him with the talent. He puts all his money into his home and recording studio. Praise God he saw what alcohol does to a person, because the music business is a tough one with many tempting addictions around. Praise God Phil accepted the Holy Spirit. There is nothing more powerful to change the heart and soul. 🙌

  5. Thanks so much for sharing!!❤ People need Christ, and people need "real" people to fellowship with! Thanks to your family for being the real deal for such a time as this! Lord, please continue to bless this family and may they always seek you!
