Kelly Hu and Lorenzo Lamas would meet again 32 years later in 2017 on the same team for the new Battle of the Network Stars. Their team won the competition. Of course, she wouldn't have had the opportunity if she didn't win; however, Kelly did well with her title and created her opportunities. Many of the other Miss Teen USAs and even Miss USAs didn't do as well as she did. Halle Berry did well even though she didn't win Miss USA.
Kelly didn't look as poised as she did in Miss USA 1993. As someone commented below, Kelly should have won Miss USA 1993. Unfortunately, it just took a judge or two to hurt her chances. She had one of the best answers, but one judge had it in for her from the beginning. That's ok, she's done well for herself and still has a title. She's been in several tv shows and movies like X-Men 2 and Scorpion King with the Rock and is still doing movies. Congrats Kelly on winning Miss Teen USA 1985 and for an amazing career!
