Fun Fact: Six former Miss Texas Teen USAs competed this year for the Miss Texas USA title. Former TX Teen winners from 1995 to 2000 competed with three finishing in the finals:
Mandy Jeffreys (TX Teen USA 1995) – Top 12
Andria Mullins (TX Teen USA 1997) – 2nd Runner-Up
Christie Lee Woods (TX Teen USA 1996 – Miss Teen USA 1996) – 3rd Runner-Up
Also, this was the beginning of the period when Christie Lee Woods, Miss Teen USA 1996, would try to win the Miss Texas USA title. She would try three times (02, 03, & 04) to win, but unfortunately she fell short each time.
