Kiara Arends is all set to represent Aruba at Miss Universe 2022 as she was officially crowned on 31st July 2022. Kiara Arends succeeds and was crowned Miss Universe Aruba 2021 Thessaly Zimmerman in a private ceremony.
Kiara is 23 years of age and a LL.M student, who also holds a degree in Bachelor of Laws. She is a social justice advocate and the founder of B.U.M.P, a charity organization benefiting upcoming mothers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not new to the pageant world, Kiara was also previously crowned as Miss Teen Aruba International 2017 and Virreina de las Americas at Miss Teen Americas in 2018. With her pageant experience, her stunning beauty and a strong social advocacy, Kiara will definitely be a strong contender for the international crown.
Last year, Thessaly Zimmerman represented Aruba at Miss Universe 2021 and with her stellar performance, she placed in the Top 10. Aruba won a placement at Miss Universe after more than two decades. The country is yet to pioneer its win at Miss Universe.

I found a Fandom article with a former contestant labeled "Miss Teen Aruba" and I can't wait for Kiara!
To be honest Aruba has some potentials and in the past 10 years at least I believe they should have placed not always tye usual boring the same countries gets placement all the time I hope someday Aruba will have their 1st MU Victory Win after they became 1st Runner Up in 1996 coming from the Philippines.

Although Aruba rarely places (1974, 1996, 2021) they have deserved more. The girls of 2011 and 2019 should have made the cut and the one of 2012 was a pleasant surprise as soon as she arrived in USA

Placements for Aruba are very rare. So happy that they made the cut last year.
Recently I had seen someone (or some"ones") complaining about Seng's rating the contestants lower, and though it's understandable that the ratings are as per Seng's viewpoint, but looks like this video was quite evident why Seng's ratings sometimes go down even if the contestant is "strong", and from what I have seen, when I saw in each video how the ladies walked in their gowns, I got a hint that Seng might lower down the ratings for some ladies.
Even in this video, everything was going good with the contestant's profile, then I saw her gown walk, and felt that she would be reduced to group 3, and that's what happened. In the end, the presentation skills do make up the chances, or break them.
If y'all remember, in 2020, Seng rated Paraguay group 2, and you could see in the national pageant, she walked terribly with whatever gown she was wearing, also her performance in the national pageant was dull too.
(PS: This is just my observation. I can be wrong too.)
