Miss Ecuador organization held the finale of the 2022 edition on 3rd September 2022 at Malecón de Quevedo, Los Ríos where Nayelhi González Ulloa was crowned Miss Ecuador Universo 2022 (Miss Universe Ecuador 2022) and will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2022. Nayelhi González Ulloa bested 17 other contestants to win the national crown. She is 26 years of age and a nursing graduate and professional model from Esmeraldas. Ulloa succeeds Miss Universe Ecuador 2021 Susy Sacoto Mendoza.

Wow !!!! First Black Ecuadorian since 2010 . I am hoping her MU Ecuador Organization will give her proper styling for MU . Her catwalk is strong and just needs to impress the IMG judges in preliminary interview round . She can pull a surprise placement just like Thessaly Zimmerman ( MU Aruba 2021) . So far , she has 60% chance placing in the semifinals .

STUNNER ALERT! That smile is everything, she is statuqesque and a head turner. Ecuador has deserved more: Carolina Aguirre in 2012 was so top 5 material and, although her styling in the preliminaries was not the best, she deserved at least a top 15 spot; Virginia Limongi gave a spectacular preliminary performance and it was a tocuyo that year.
