R’Bonney Gabriel who was born March 20, 1994, is a Filipino-American beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss USA 2022. Gabriel will represent the United States at Miss Universe 2022.
Gabriel was born in San Antonio, Texas to a Filipino father and an American mother. Her father, R’Bon “Bon” Gabriel, immigrated from Manila at the age of 19 to Washington and her mother, Dana Gabriel grew up in Beaumont, Texas.
R’Bonney followed in her dad’s footsteps and also graduated from college, attending the University of North Texas. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design with a minor in fibers. She now works as a designer creating eco-friendly clothing, and as a model. Winning Miss Texas USA 2022 back in July 2022 earned her the right to represent Texas at Miss USA 2022, where she eventually bagged the Best State Costume award and Miss USA crown.

This is a beautiful woman but her performance on the night of the pageant was underwhelming – her responses were just safe and I prefer her prelim competition evening gown – or maybe it was the overall production itself that was dull. In fact, none of Miss USA contents were outstanding this year. The last five placements seemed fair though.

OK – when she won Texas, I told EVERYONE – She will WIN USA extremely easily, like it will just be given to her. Since WHITE girls are NOT allowed to win anymore – She fit the bill – philippino, great body, owns her own business, has moments where she looks really beautiful – it was OBVIOUS. BUT – i got BORED of her. And when it came to the girls arriving, she just did not stack up facially to North Carolina, Nebraska or Vermont. So I moved her down to spot 8. My WINNERS were NORTH CAROLINA AND NEBRASKA with Illinois an obvious 5th. SO in the end i should have stuck with my original idea and one i FELT STRONGLY about – but again, she just kept lacking compared to the others facially and well i got suckered lol – Also its distrubing all the girls seemed to RUN AWAY when she won – probably not a very friendly contestant LOL which also sucks
