  1. I also feel like they need to get A-list performers like Taylor swift, Drake, Bad Bunny, or other Big international celebrities!! Kind of like how Victoria secret used to do!!! It will get the pageant more attention!!

  2. Dani, if you can’t find a place affordable in the Nola check the Gonzales area! Its the first semi- big city before you get into NOLA on I-10. I’m sure the rooms will be cheaper if you don’t mind a 30 minute drive. Because when the Super Bowl is in NOLA it’s where many will stay. There’s also a lot to do in the area if you’re looking for something to do tourist wise that is not in NOLA.

  3. Hello Dani, My daughter and I plan on attending!! I made our reservations at the Four Seasons!! We are so excited. This is very cute!! My daughter was Miss Congeniality in the Miss Mississippi USA Pageant, and I was Mrs. Congeniality in the Mrs. Mississippi Pageant!! We are sweet, adorable and friendly!! I think you are just fabulous!! I know New Orleans like the back of my hand as I go to shop, have lunch with friends and my husband and I have attended galas at the Museum and Mardi Gras Events!! I am so excited that the Pageant will be in New Orleans!! We hope to see you there!!

Also, I love all of your videos!! You are so fabulous and gorgeous!!

  4. The venue for MU has always given us an idea of the type of girl they are looking to crown that year. New Orleans being the host city, I can see a black girl winning this year like in 2019 with Atlanta

  5. Miss Universe !

Yes ! Let’s meet up ! Since it’s going to be in the USA I definitely want to try and go.

P.S – I agree with you about some of the changes and things that I preferred during the trump era of miss USA.

  6. Imo MUO should have host cities/countries announced at least 2 maybe 3 years in advance kinda like the NFL with the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft. Would give people plenty of time to prepare.

  7. I’m excited to have Miss Universe in my hometown. I can’t wait to attend because I have been wanting to attend Miss Universe for years; finally a dream come true.

  8. Greetings from NOLA! Yes, Shreveport is 5 hours away and so we in NOLA don't relate. Baton Rouge (2014 USA pageant) is only 60-80 minutes away and I did attend; it was a large arena and Nia Sanchez won, and the event was 3 hours long, but I had fun. So, this 2023 MU actually DOES coincide with Carnival season which starts January 6th. So, while January 14th isn't the peak of carnival season, it is still within carnival season itself and there may be more events happening (although not like the big final weekend of Mardi Gras (which this coming year is February 19th with Fat Tuesday on Tuesday February 21st)). And, you CAN wear beads during carnival season and not be considered gauche LOL and yes, we do say "new orlenz"). I do recommend vaccinations (flu, covid) if you come this way since the international travel to/from NOLA brings in all kinds of "fun" – just be prepared and immune. Weather can be tricky; can be humid and colder (30s-40s-50s low) (damp cold is cold!) and warmer in the afternoon (50s-60s), so check the forecast before packing and be prepared to layer. In the spirit of honesty, crime has been particularly bad and the mayor is under a lot of heat for it, and so paying attention to surroundings will matter and not walking alone. Ubers and ride share prices may be a bit elevated (it happens on busy weekends) but not as bad as the final weekend of carnival. To do? There's the WW II museum, and if you want to have a deep meaningful experience, the Whitney Plantation would be that as it exposes the history of slavery (it's about an hour west of town); there's the Audubon Zoo, Aquarium, swamp tours, river boat rides, etc. I plan to attend the pageant. Dani you're awesome!!!!

  9. Well as someone who was born and raised in New Orleans I lived here my entire life I got out just before covid and I'm so very thankful that I did and honestly you couldn't pay me right now to set foot across that City line or the parish line rather are you aware that New Orleans is the number one murder capital of the world now Latoya Cantrell doesn't seem to care that its citizens are being murdered all day all night everyday every night so travel to New Orleans at your own risk because people are being murdered carjacked raped in the street people are being raped on the street corners in the corner with people walking by and nobody does a thing that's what New Orleans has turned to since they have elected this mayor and the police chief who also doesn't believe that criminals should be behind bars

  10. I am going to make a prediction. There will be little to no effort to showcase what make New Orleans New Orleans. The production and stage design will be so generic that you wouldn't know that the pageant is taking place in New Orleans. You will know it is in New Orleans only in the first minute: LIVE FROM NEW ORLEANS, LOUSIANA and maybe a couple of vids spliced in between to remind you where this is taking place. They should invite local artists to contribute and perform but they will go for the big name singer that is hot at the moment. They will turn it into just another generic American city and this will be another generic edition of the pageant.

  11. Europe will win Miss Universe 2022, they are amazing Miss Germany Soraya Kholmann, Miss Italy Virginia Stablum, Miss Ukraine Victoria Apanasenko, Miss Spain Alicia Faubel.

  12. I wouldnt come to New Orleans if it was a bank robbers convention. This place is crime ridden, unsafe, no police presents……the mgm of this pageant are stupid if you come here…..
