The Miss Universe Coin Controversy is the latest issue surrounding the Philippines and the Miss Universe.

Here’s a breakdown of the events that we know of that were discussed in this livestream:
1. September 7, 2023 – Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee sat beside Dr. Donald Patrick Lim, the Philippine Blockchain Week lead convenor, during the press conference held at the Marriott Hotel. In that press conference, Dr Donald Patrick Lim already presented the launching of the Miss Universe Coin.
2. Dr. Donald Patrick Lim is the Chief Operating Officer of DITO CME and the Chief Innovation Officer of the Udenna Corporation, and is considered to be the Father of Digital Marketing in the Philippines.
3. The Philippine Blockchain Week (aka PBW) is supported by 3 government agencies: the Department of Information & Communications Technology, the Department of Tourism, and the Department of Trade and Industry. Sponsors of the PBW included Smart Communications, Philippine Airlines, PLDT, Maya (formerly PayMaya) among others… Hence this is a big legitimate business event.
4. The PBW ran from September 19-21, a three-day event that Michelle attended the opening day alongside Senator Robin Padilla. The Miss Universe Coin was launched during PBW alongside Michelle’s talk about her NFT for her Autism Haven advocacy.
5. September 23, 2023 Manila time, Miss Universe posted on their social media accounts that they are not involved in the MU Coin launched during PBW. And that all legal avenues will be used to address copyright infringement.
6. Miss Universe Philippines re-posted the press statement on their page with no additional context. Michelle Dee and Global Spectrum Enterprise released their own statement of their own highlighting they have no association or involvement with the MU Coin. It did not state, however, if they have prior knowledge of the launch or what extent do they know about the MU Coin launch.

  1. Thank you Sir Jesson for the explanation. On the brighter side, ngayon mas naiintindihan natin na ang mga beauty pageants ay negosyo and not just pure entertainment.

  2. The level of negative comments on this video is ludicrous–not because they're coming from detractors (and they're not even legitimate detractors at all), but because those comments show how amateurish and non-conversant these commenters are with content creation. (Either that, or they are professional trolls!)

  3. As it turned out, the MUO has knowledge and is involved in cryptocurrency! They're being sued in Thailand! Wow, what turned of events! Truth always comes out in an unexpected ways!

  4. MISS UNIVERSE 2023 IS PHILIPPINES👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

  5. Crypto is risky for a lot of reasons. But the big reason it's not a safe investment is because it can have huge swings in price in the blink of an eye. Its not good because of its votatility. Who allowed her to attend the event? The MUP org. should do damage control ASAP.

  6. Can you also highlight the authentic advocacy/charitable activites of MWPH Gwen? It’s about time to support a Philippines candidate who’s not only into glitz and glamour. Gwen needs support from the pageant fans especially from pageant vlogger/influencer like you. She may not be as popular or as controversial as compared to other overhyped candidates but this girl has potential.

  7. Honestly nobody cares about this! It is not society’s benefit to discuss. Its damaging, its not something that bloggers should be putting their opinion. STOp talking you blogger.

  8. We haven’t answered yet kung sino ba ang nagsalita about the Miss Universe Coin at the PBW? The Donald Lim clip was weeks ago and NOT during PBW while MUO is specifically mentioning PBW.

  9. Ah ka ng ah. Di ko kayang panoorin that you struggle so much. Tagalog kaya? Baka mas derederecho ka pa. You’re nervous kaya you’re beating around the bush. Pinahaba mo lng ang kalbaryo mo. Be kind to yourself and your audience.

  10. No need to discuss or hype this issue…leave it to MU legal team…no need for you to muddle and stir or hype the issue..i believe MUPH is not dumb to not know what they have signed for with JKN.🙄 moving on!

  11. There's nothing to be afraid if she's doing right behind that not for herself, she's financially stable and independent…she's enterpreternuer as a businesswoman MUPH Organisation there's nothing about involved jkn behind that motivation of mmd big company leaders

  12. paano kasi ang organization ng mu Phillipines hindi man.lang mag check ng background ng event na mag attended si mmd…mismo organization ng mu ang magpahamak kay mmd…
