Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu of India visited New York’s Empire State Building on Wednesday (January 12) to celebrate her move to Manhattan.
The 21-year-old is her country’s first winner in 20 years.
During her reign, Harnaaz will work to ‘break stereotypes that the world has for women.’
The women’s rights advocate is also an actress and is scheduled to have two Punjabi films released this year.
Harnaaz will live in New York for one year as part of her official duties.
