Miss Utah got so many whistles throughout the whole pageant!!!
Kris Chapman was a future monster truck commentator in the late ‘80’s and early ‘90’s. Being from Owensboro Kentucky, she was from the same part of state as fellow commentator, Army Armstrong. That’s where Johnny Depp is from too.
Ohio lost the crown because of that silly answer. Miss Utah gave the best response.

Even though I'm a proud native Texan, LuAnn Caughey was as dumb as a box of rocks. When you watch the crowning moment, she thinks she has it in the bag and then Terri Utley lets out that primal scream.
Utah – Ugly girl but good answer; Arkansas – Sincere and simple; Texas – No….no….no elaboration….nothing; Kentucky – Very nervous, poor girl but simple answer when she finally got it out; Ohio – Bad teeth….no elaboration on her answers. In all….Utah had the best answer but I would still give the crown to Miss Arkansas if I were to base it on intelligence and beauty;
not a nice thing to say but it is a very unattractive group of finalists
Arkansas' answer was empty and bland. That's it. I found it fake. To each his own.
I actually noticed that before because I always keep score of the pageants. And I saw this one for the first time last year and I noticed that about the scores of Virginia and Kentucky and I just figured I must have done something wrong, but now I really wish I knew what happened. Poor Sandra Dee Jones, Kentucky didn't even answer that question very well, and neither did Arkansas! I think Utah and Ohio had the best answers.
yeah!!! it should be Miss Virginia at the Top 5 even at the pageant almanac website Miss Virginia average is 8.720 while Miss Kentucky is 8.710…wonder what happend???
Is it just me or was supposed to be Miss Virginia that's among the 5 finalists? Because after looking at the average scores of both her and Miss Kentucky it is Miss Virginia who has the higher average score. I don't know if anyone who watched the pageant realized this or not. All in all it appears as though somebody may have missed that and as a result it was Kentucky that made it when it was supposed to be Virginia.
