  1. Miss Georgia was best in interview. Maryland was great in swimsuit, and Texas best in evening gown. California and Mississippi not all that attractive, surprised they got in the top five. I would've put Oklahoma and Maryland in top five.

  2. This was broadcast in March 1988. Imagine if it was in the Summer? Those ladies would've been burning hot in the dunes near Indian Cliffs Ranch. For you sports fans, Miss Idaho became Mrs. Utah Jazz forward Karl "The Mailman" Malone.

  3. How did Mississippi get so far??? She had a fat face. Miss Oklahoma was stunning and would have made a wonderful winner. Taking nothing away from Courtney, I think California should have won. She was lovely, articulate and very poised.

  4. Miss California? She wins the evening gown competition, and is First Runner Up??? Dont get it, or the judges fascination with her. And…Miss Oklahoma doesnt even make top 5. Something is off…..way…off

  5. Although Miss Texas was a deserving winner, Miss Oklahoma could have also easily been the winner as well. The fact that she didnt even make the top 5 was criminal. Miss Oklahoma wherever you are, you were absolutely stunning and should have at LEAST been the 1st Runner Up

  6. Georgia should have been first runner-up, such a stunning woman. And Courtney was very underscored in Miss Universe but they obviously wanted an asian winner that year.

  7. Of the five winners in a row from Texas, Courtney is the only one that IMO absolutely deserved the win. All four of the other years had another delegate that maybe, probably, or definitely should have won over Texas.
