Don’t u wish they bring back the televised scoring from the judges.. in that way it will make more sense as to why certain girls fail to make the next cut .. I don’t understand some of the judges choices, without naming girls ..congratulations on making top 16 .. you will look proudly on this many years from now

Dear Stephanie Marino, as someone who has known you since you moved to Ohio at the age of five. I am proud of you I am so humbled by your journey. As someone who was born with cerebral palsy and rheumatoid arthritis I have never felt beautiful which is why I spent most of my time at church hiding in the choir loft because it was always a safe place to be. In this year of watching you specifically, you have helped me grow spiritually emotionally and faithfully. If you can reach for the stars at age 26 and 27, why could I not at 45 & 46? Even though I no longer live at home, I wish I would’ve known that our community was going to reach out to you on Oak Street with a huge parade of cars. I would’ve showed up from an hour away to experience that myself because I was crying for you both good tears and bad tears the week of Miss USA. But I wasn’t as proud as I was when I watch this video and you showed your true self. The Stephanie we all know and All love. I hope your YouTube channel continues to grow and helps you to get your message out even past Miss Ohio 2020. Que dios te bendiga hoy mañana y siempre. I was shocked when you didn't make top 10. You and New York didn't make top 10 which I was like screaming at my TV like "ummm what??" But making the top 16 is still a huge accomplishment! I hope you're proud of yourself no matter what.

You did amazing and I for one could tell you were in the moment and enjoying yourself. You should be so proud of yourself. You represented yourself, your family, your state and your community with grace, poise and confidence. Whatever you decide to do next, you should know that there are lots of folks out there rooting for you.
When I think about other Miss USA contestants who didn't capture the crown I think about Halle Berry, who also represented Ohio, who was first runner to Miss Texas in 1986. She's gone on to amazing success as an actress and became the first African-American woman to win the best actress Oscar in 2002. I've often wondered if she would have had the same drive to succeed in her acting career had she captured the Miss USA crown. We'll never know. What we do know is that she is known across the globe and only die-hard pageant fans remember Christy Fichtner.
