  1. You would have been a better choice. There is something about her that seems disingenuous. I can see her making this about herself. Mississippi should have won her year.

  2. I would love to see a training camp for US titleholders. There’s so much beauty and talent in the US. We should be placing much higher at Universe. Dani, I think you would be a great Osmel Sousa of th USA.

  3. I also hope contestants are allowed to compete again in nationals I hate to see a potential future American Miss Universe wasted and I would like the age limit increased to 30

  4. I totally agree… Ive been watching Miss USA and Miss Universe since I was a kid and I am sad that Miss Universe is becoming "cheap"….. Last years Miss U is the worst Miss U pageant. The candidates did not even have time to go places. Bring back the time when there is so many prizes for the winner such as a brand new car, jewelry, etc.

  5. Please get a stage with a nice long runway too! These short prances and small stage the winner takes her walk on – are ridiculously small. A real buzz kill for the audience and I imagine winner too.

  6. Yeah Miss USA 2008 our new Miss USA National Director. Donald Trump watered down the pageant to nothing to save money. IMG Inherited the format. I personally enjoyed the direction it was going in and hiring Crystal Stewart is a step in the right direction.

    Bring back the following:
    top twelve interviews,
    the production numbers
the split screen of swimsuit and evening gown during the parade of states introductions
    Prize package
Standard crowns representing the Universe Organization.

  7. Seeing that Crystle Stewart parlayed being Miss USA into something greater, this is what I found fault with IMG's current vision. It appears the woman they are looking for is already accomplished (having a masters, PHD, running her business, etc etc)…so why do she need to be Miss Universe or Miss USA and put everything she have achieved on hold for a year so she can work for the organization? I have always thought winning a title is a stepping stone to something greater, not something you just accomplished for bragging rights and then forget about it.

  8. To me it has been clear for several years that IMG has had different "job descriptions" for Miss USA v Miss Universe, which is the main reason that USA has underperformed. Under the new directorship, I think we'll see a change in the types of women who will represent the USA and go back to the days of selecting the best candidate to compete at Miss U. I don't mean to state this as a negative, as it may come across, but it will be glam slightly over substance. We do not get a Deshauna, Kara, Sarah Rose or even Chelsea under the new regime, we end up with the "favorites" that they edged out. For most fans, that will be better, for others perhaps not. I also hope that this will allow IMG the resources to put on a better event overall because Miss USA is going to bring it. The competitions have been connected in the public's perception for so long that if the Miss USA event outshines Miss Universe, IMG will be forced to raise their game. I have my own personal concerns about how this all evolves but in the long run I think it has the potential to make each pageant stronger.

  9. Happy for Miss USA to be brought back in primetime television in 2021 after a disappointing Fox airing in 2019. This will be on ABC in September 2021 with Miss Universe 2020 to be scheduled for April 12, 2021 on ABC Network.

  10. So it means Miss USA is no longer under MUO? And there was no “national director” before this? I’m surprised!
It’s kinda sad to see Miss USA and Miss Universe not living together. Although who doesn’t want a place for yourself.

  11. This is definitely a good thing. I didn't know IMG owned Miss USA as well as Miss Universe. Makes sense why our delegates have been 'pretty' but were missing that extra something something. And if IMG continued to own USA and for some reason they won Miss Universe, Lord the Philippines collective heads would explode on how their queen got robbed blah blah blah. LOL. Well they do it every year anyway if they lose. That would be enough for me to sell the USA organization if I owned both. So this is definitely a step in the right direction.

  12. According to me, I would just want IMG to put in the production cost saved from Miss USA and Miss TeenUSA in Miss Universe. It’s time that they do that because nobody likes a small makeshift prelims stage.

Secondly, I just hope for Miss USA that “only women” panel is scrapped off. It’s time to bring that “inclusivity” which they talk about all the time. Men are not just about looking for girls in a bikini. Period.

Lastly, bring back those scores USA(applies for Universe as well but probably they won’t do it). Audience wants to know how much fair all competitions are today. Even the prelims for that matter, scores should make a comeback. It’s all about glam but if you’re selecting, being a private organisation doesn’t mean to keep the scores locked in a suitcase. How would anyone feel if the Presidential elections are won by someone without knowing which states won by the President with how much margin? Do you think that would be fair?

-Just a supporter who wishes well for MUO and Miss USA/Teen USA 🙈

  13. Crystle Stewart is an Aries! I know she will do well. Aries men/women key elements are fashionable, strong networking skills, hardworking, goal driven, willing to take up the challenge etc.
I know I can't based everything on horoscopes, but I know.

  14. I take this news as the best news to happen to Miss USA in recent years. It actually opens doors of opportunities for this organization. With a ND on board, you now have one person dedicated to planning ahead for USA finals months in advance. The production, the gowns, the swimsuits, plus the training of the girls. Love love love this development and we look forward to USA becoming a frontrunner again in Miss Universe.

  15. When are we gonna get over the “over skirt, “wings”, “capes” part of the dress/fun fashion? I’m OVER it but trying to stay away from the. They have SATURATED the market!!!

  16. Couldn't agree more with all of this! I am reallyyyy hoping they get to choose who designs and makes there gowns, I want the surprise and wow effect and the anticipation of what they are going to wear like past years! Have you heard anything about past state title holders being able to come back and compete again?? I have been hearing hints that under new leadership that is a possibility!
