Thanks for this spectacular clip, Dani! It's great to see contestants display so much confidence.
As for the best….. that's a really tough call. On balance I just about give the edge to New Mexico, who carried herself so stylishly. Louisiana, Maryland and Virginia also caught my eye. D.C. looked stunning, but her walk was a little short of impact.
On a general point, it's good to see a swimsuit competition like this continuing to feature so strikingly in a beauty contest. Honestly, it's not a proper beauty contest until the girls appear in swimsuits!
I'm more impressed by the fact that they all have college degrees. 🙏❤👏👏👏
Not just because I’m from Virginia, but she looked stunning in the purple. Her walk was also very elegant and graceful, she looked like she had fun on stage.

No on North Carolina…she looks like she is in a fitness pageant…not Miss USA. I believe if they had male judges that results would have been different. Very disappointed at this years pageant…😪
New Mexico had the best walk in my opinion. I’m generally not a fan of twirls, as they usually come across as forced and unnecessary. In her case though it was incorporated into the walk in a seamless fashion.
I’m going to be the bad guy here and say that I didn’t find North Carolina’s performance particularly noteworthy. For that matter, I don’t find her particularly attractive. I don’t like where the Miss Universe/USA pageants have moved, as they’ve taken beauty out of the equation.
I thought they discontinued the swimsuit component. Am I mistaken? Is it for Miss America they cancelled it? Anyone know anything?

Before the pagent you talked about how VERY IMPORTANT IT IS to steal that camera, work your angles and have awareness of the camera in general. I think that's the reason ALOT of the favorites this year didnt make top 15!!!

In my opinion New Mexico nailed camera work! She was the stand out for me as far as really working her time with the camera. Also I felt her face expressions were perfectly timed. I am sorry for those who who dont agree but her walk was in another league compared to the other girls!!!!! Truly most developed and the fast back half turn was Olympic standards lol …
The turn is Like suddenly a HUGE DEAL and a weak turn can be lethal 😂😂 Like if scores were shown this year she would have HAD TO BE in the 9.6-9.8 range and the leader.. I will say I do like our winner since her interview on kelly and ryan but feel NM had a stronger performance.. I am slowly moving on and excepting things…I will be ok.

Should have been New Mexico…
During your review a few weeks back, I gave my honest opinion and I was hard on California.
I was at the barber today and I thought about it. I felt bad and disappointed in myself. I'm sure she went out there and performed with all her heart and as best as she could. Miss USA was her 2nd pageant I think, and I should have taken that into consideration.
These women are doing amazing things and their strut on stage shouldn't ruffle my feathers.
However, I'm here for this entire list. A+
Just wished they had an actual runway 🙂
I'm an aviation fan as well and I'm obsessed with runways period! Whether at a pageant or at the airport.
No Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia is a bit weird
