Fans and friends of former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst are mourning her passing after she died by suicide over the weekend, according to police in New York. The 30-year-old was found dead early Sunday morning in Manhattan and her family confirmed her passing.
The current Miss USA, Elle Smith, shared a heartfelt Instagram post after Kryst’s death, talking about how she felt after losing someone she looked up to during her own pageant journey.

I hope this beautiful woman’s suicide is thoroughly investigated. Maybe I’m in denial, but I don’t believe she committed suicide. Unless, theirs clear footage of her , exiting her condo, walking to wherever she had to walk to, in order to do this. Or, has an autopsy been performed? Any drugs or alcohol in her system? This is so sad.
It's reported now that she was LGBTQ. And this suicide was over a woman.
Mental Health is complicated, private and Very Personal. I feel everyone has some form of Personality Disorder, which is not as insulting as using Mental Health Disorder Labels that cause people to be secretive and defensive when dealing with their disorder. Some disorders are more severe than others, however as long as a person is responsible and independent there is no need to worry about the type of shortcomings he or she has.
I lost my brother to suicide. It’s tough to imagine the answer to this question. Why? She was a beautiful soul. Condolences to her family and friends.
Society is evil. Let people be, parents need to stop pushing their kids to ‘dream’ big. Just live your life and so what brings you joy. No need to be Miss U.S.A.
it just horrible why this woman killed herself she was SUCH an inspiration to people and she just gave up……basically said her life was worthless………just horrible 🙁
