OMG, Miss America 2020 copied this performance
She did it first!
And 4 years later same talent wins the crown
Miss Virginia was here
I think this demonstration was also done on The Big Bang Theory episode where Sheldon got revenge on Kripke in his lab for distorting his voice with helium.
Is she Miss Vermont 2016, sounds the same , same exact performance ..same person I think
Whatt Miss VA did the exact same thing lmao
Miss Virginia just won for doing the same thing even copying saying science is all around us… Wow what a ripoff
Que copiona, además Mis Virginia se puso bata, Google y guantes como debe de ser.
"Try it at a friend's home!"
But does she got them titays?
Awesome!
She made me erupt alright
You can laugh all you want but she's an actual biochemist…what did you want her to do in 2.5 minutes, blow up the moon? You guys suck. Go get a degree in biochemistry before you laugh with your living in mom's basement asses
I would go to class every day if she was my teacher
So she cleaned it up right?
Oh wow, what a talent!! It was just like being at the Metropolitan Opera or the Joffrey Ballet. And Miss America allows this shit.
I bet she does have a talent with "eruptions" lmfao
All the people saying that you need to be brainy to pull this off are *dumb af*. Sorry y'all but this is so basic, these days you don't even need to do the math yourself you can just google the amounts and ratios to use.
She's joking right?
THIS is better than the old contests.
That's my family friends cousin isn't she amazing
hahahaha she stands right in the emitting gas 😀
I think this is awesome! Thank you for thinking outside the box!!
ive actually met her shes learning how to be a mortician
Next up : "coloring with magic markers!"
WOW… I did this experiment in grade 3.
bien, o sea que su talento es hablar como una niña de 5 años y hacer un experimento de escuela primaria? me ofende como tecnico quimico que ridiculice la ciencia para un concurso de belleza.
I liked it, but her intro was too long. Should've skipped to 0:54 without the lengthy explanation of "what science is." the demonstration was simple but performed with plenty of flair, pouring catalysts with both hands at opposite ends of the table and moving toward the center. and I loved, "don't try this at home… try it at a friend's home!"
It's performance science. Like Bill Nye, but not as sexy (Bill rocks his bow tie too well, sorry.)
MUCH better then "I'm going to sing the national anthem*" or some stupid "dance" that guys with prosthetic legs could do.
*Ms. Georgia's Opera was a legitimate talent.
I guess it's a nice try at endorsing science to young girls, but she shows it as a performance, no more complex than one for young children…And of course, she's gotta be a stereotypical girl while she's doing it!! So rhyming, talking about her hair and wearing a glittery lab coat dress thing is a must.
So did The View not mock chemists? strange… as a fellow science geek and lab tech student drawing blood every day and interacting with patients I feel like this is more powerful than strutting around on a stage singing or playing a violin… sure they take talent, but smarts is also a talent that should be recognized. These classes are HARD!
Gods forbid a contestant actually tries to use the pageant as a way to encourage girls to do more with their lives than strut around in a bathing suit. When a woman actually does something positive it's irresistible bait for the douchebag TROLLS who have nothing better to do with their pathetic lives than find a way to put her down.
Can't stop laughing lmao
We did this in third grade it's not that complicated
