This film captures the complete telecast of the Miss Wool of America Pageant of 1968. The Miss Wool of America Pageant took place annually from 1952-1972 in San Angelo, sponsored by the National Wool Growers Association, the American Sheep Producers Council, and the Wool Bureau, Inc. Miss Wool represented the wool industry nationally, touring the country in the latest woolen fashions. In this film, contestants from across the nation answer questions from host, radio and television personality Art Linkletter, model wool dresses and coats, and dance alongside pop star Frankie Avalon as he performs. Movie star June Allyson emcees the fashion portion of the competition. From the Miss Wool of America Collection.
