The national costume of Cambodia named “Yeak Ream So” that she used to wear for Miss Phum Sophoan and Miss World Cambodia 2021 to show at the Miss World 2021 beauty pageant. This confirmation was made after the official Facebook account of Miss World 2021 Made an earlier post.
The 2021 Miss World pageant will be the 70th Miss World pageant to be held on December 16, 2021 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Top beauty contestants from 83 countries have been announced to participate in this huge beauty pageant, and Cambodia has also included its nominees.

However, the official Facebook account did not confirm the name and meaning of the pageant, but it is remembered that the pageant was once known as the giant Reamso pageant that once won the Miss Cambodia pageant. However, it is known that in the Khmer Royal Ballet, there is a story that is installed by telling the story of the background of the origin of lightning, called the dance “Mony Mekhala and Ram So”. “Mony” (Mani) refers to the precious glass “Mekhala” as the name of the sea-guardian deity in the story, while the word “Ream So” is the name of a character “Asor” or (Yak) in this dance. The weapon of this character is the “ax”. The word “Ream So” is a combination of the words “Ream” + “Asor” into “Ream So”. This set is a mix of modern style combined with good creativity in order to enhance the works of Khmer folk literature.
It is remembered that after being crowned for almost a year, on the night of December 2, Miss Phum Sophoan Miss World Cambodia 2020 left her homeland to participate in the 70th Miss World 2021 pageant, which will be held at That Puerto Rico.
