A controversial aspect of the Miss World Canada beauty contest was when two-time contestant Anastasia Lin won the title as Miss World Canada 2015, she was barred from entering the world competition in that year in China for expressing her personal political views.
The Vancouver-based beauty pageant raises funds for Variety the Children Charity and has a slogan of ‘Beauty with a Purpose’.
Of course, beauty with brains is the ideal but you have to let the body do the talking too and show the audience what’s underneath the cover so to speak.

Miss World Canada 2015 took place on May 16, 2015 at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver crowning Anastasia Lin as Miss World Canada 2015. 1st runner up is Betty Lu. Mr. World Canada 2015 is Jinder Atwal. In the past, Miss World Canada 2014 winner was Annora Bourgeault. Miss World Canada 2013 was Camille Munroe and Miss World Canada 2012 was Tara Teng and Miss World Canada 2011 was Riza Santos. Starting from Miss World Canada 2015, the organizers decided to cancel the popular swimwear catwalk.
I may be deemed a horrible human for pointing this out but did the anchor in the last few seconds of the video said that the aim of Miss World Canad is to improve the lives of children around the world?I mean… really?
