Nawat Itsaragrisil the director of Miss Grand International (MGI) has slammed once again Miss Supranational and Miss Earth after Chanique Rabe explains the meaning of “Supranational” and names the five biggest beauty pageants in the world without including MGI.
Nawat has become known in the pageant community lately for all of the wrong reasons. Although Miss Grand International is known for its production value, the pageant is surrounded with controversy because of the questionable judging, treatment of candidates and especially their relationship with other pageants.
Nawat has self-proclaimed Miss Grand International as the #1 pageant in the world…and ever since he is quick to slam anyone who dares to say otherwise.
After a very public stunt, shading Miss Earth and Miss Supranational, the national director of Miss Grand Thailand also supported Nawat’s allegations…which provoked the owner of Miss Supranational Andrei Sleigh to pronounce himself about the issue.
Up until now, Miss Earth has not released any statements.

I am Thai but not a fan of beauty pageants. I understand that Nawat made it clear that he cares most about the commerciality, rating, entertainment, and beauty standards. I hardly hear anything about peace or any other objectives. Am I missing something?

Miss grand dont have to pull other biggger pageanrts to be in that circle. Im glad miss earth organization have been ignoring nawat for a long time. The virtual pageant was done at the best version. And they keep soaring by standing firmly to the brand that is environmental protection. Miss earth may not have that glittering prod, but it feels expensive that miss universe or world recognize that it belongs to their league. Mgi is a product that is harmful to human consumption. We filipinos can love all pageants big or small..
