  1. I had a boss working for the military who was an Officer on one of the ships, his stories were amazing which led me to the original video. Crazy stuff that half the US population doesn't even know about.

  2. I'm a 65 year old American and this is the first I've ever heard of this "proportional" war. Now that there is another "proportional" war going on between Israel and Hamas, it makes sense that no other Middle-Eastern country wants to get involved in a serious way in that war. Especially considering that there are 2 US carrier battle groups, assorted other US Navy vessels, plus other country's navy vessels all sitting in the area, waiting for someone to get stupid.

  3. My dad , USNavy, was sailing from Townsville, Australia to the solomon Islands during WW2 during an invasion. He was deeply impressed with the great NZ troops, many very young ( dad was 32 at the time) Many were sadly subsequently lost in the battle. God bless their memory.

  4. I watch yalls videos because i find it funny seeing people from other countries realizing how powerful the us military is because being from here its just like "uh yeah thats normal" lmao

  5. There are two things America doesn't like.

1.) when people touch our boats.

2.) when none Americans kill Americans. No one else can have that thing, thats our (Americans) thing.

  6. As an American I learned “ certain” parts of history. “America was always right” America has always been a bully to other countries if you look at the history. I love my country and its people. My family is a DTR and DAR . Look it up I’m from Texas 😅. My father just past and was in Viatnam. I have stories that he and my uncles tole me as well.

I can attest that USN training is no joke. I spent 2 years in a naval school before I was assigned to a vessel. Another year after that I spent learning every single system on the ship while also qualifying for my specified watch stations.
The first day that I arrived on board, my Captain verified that I knew that Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7th. If today was December 6th what would I be doing to be ready he asked. You never know if today is your December 6th. September 11, 2001 we were in the Persian Gulf getting ready to dock in Bahrain. We immediately shifted from liberty mode to fighting because we were ready.

  8. Are y'all doing Superbowl again this year?

And also.. You should check into the newest news in all USA major cities w the migration confusion we have here. It's bad. Bad bad bad. In every way to say that.

How is one of the youngest countries in the whole world the one in charge of keeping peace in the world?!

I would seriously hault all traveling plans here, it's too dangerous. Even for Americans "use to this" and sporting guns everywhere. Doesn't help when our own government president isn't for Americans 😢💀

We're suffering here, and while we bail out every country we can from trouble, no country is trying to help us. 😢 Never fear though🙄, Americans will be there for the world when the next "help me" phone call comes in.

But we are getting tired of the world not babysitting themselves… 💀

  9. Granted, I was in the Navy for 26 years, so I knew about this. But, in reality, this is not a well known story in general. Just like the F-14s shooting down two Libyan jets in 1981.

  10. A couple things, TFE is a veteran, so his story telling can be filled with under emphasis on how things played out. Therefore, less dramatic scenes. Second would be how much is going on and how close the world is to terminal meltdown every day, with civilians not even having a clue. The whole operation that happened behind the story of Blackhawk Down is just a small footnote of the dark side of the world. If you think you are an informed person, you probably are not.

  11. And you can see news broadcast from the time talking about this incident but again, this is like one news cycle and back them. People got their news once a day in the evening news and maybe they read part of a newspaper and that was about it. It wasn’t like today where we have social media and you hear about every minute of every conflict.

  12. Take it from a Yank they don't have a Navy not in sense you mean they have gun trollers nothing that any cost gard state side Navy we have a larger navy in moth balls in the Philadelphia Navy yard that we don't evan use so yah 🫣

  13. Those of us who were in the military at that time knew about it. I was in the Army stationed in Germany and heard about it, but I didn't get (obviously) the details that FE shared. BTW, Samuel B. Roberts was a US Navy coxswain who died in 1942 during the Battle of Guadalcanal. The first ship named for him was a destroyer escort which was lost at the Battle of Samar in the Philippines in 1944 protecting a task force of escort carriers by attacking (without & against orders) a vastly superior force of Japanese battleships, heavy and light cruisers, and destroyers in concert with 3 destroyers. the frigate in this story was the third ship of the name.

  14. I have been to New v Zealand, both islands and 2 major cities. It's full of communists who have no idea what they're talking about. And lots of ice cream shops.
They truly left me with the impression they are real hobbits. Far away from everything and clueless about the rest of the world think communism is cute enough to make several theme bars based on it. I hope I am surprised.

  15. People with military connections at the time were aware of some very sanitized version of these events. The general public might have seen a short blurb about a naval skirmish here in the US.
