Review: hips fit too big but i used two safety pins to scrunch the sides and it worked perfectly. I received so many compliments. the slit up the side just makes this dress special.

Review: This has the potential to be a super cute party or cocktail dress. It is nice with the high slit, the glitters, and the one shoulder fit. The quality is not the greatest, but the price is alright for what it is. It is not overly thin to where you can see through it. So it is thick enough but still breathable. There is some stretch and elasticity to the fabric. It is fairly comfortable.I got a size small, which would normally be perfect for me. Small may even be a little tight on me, sometimes. But the fit of this dress in a size small was off. I included photos to try to explain. The fit was almost fine, except for a weird bunched-up piece on the side of the dress. I’m not sure if this was just a manufacturing mistake or if they all come like this. But there’s a part on the side that is oddly bunched or something weird. It makes the dress not flattering. Not smooth. And just seem to not fit right. It is already borderline too-big. As a small. But that side thing makes it worse. I can even wear it because of that. I won’t bother returning it for another one, because maybe that is just how it is made. But I don’t like it and I won’t wear it. I guess it could just be made a little bit better. But I had hope for this one because it looks fabulous on the model in the AD.

Title: Looks great on but cheaply made for the price
Review: This dress looks great on and the slit is flattering, but I was disappointed at the material and workmanship for the price. It washed well in cold water with hang dry and did not wrinkle at all, but I missed having hidden loops to hang it like most one shoulder tops and dresses have. There is an odd bump on the seam at the hip, which other reviewers commented on, so it’s a universal defect, but the dress is black, so it’s not too noticeable. I pinned the shoulder strap into a smaller, more flattering shape, and I’m happy with how it looks now (see photos). It’s comfortable to wear and has a slight stretch. After adding shapewear underneath, the dress gives me an attractive silhouette. I got lots of compliments the night I wore it, and the material also photographed well in dim light. In regular light it looks like a cheap material with glitter flecks that reminds me of what I wore to high school dances, but this is definitely more of an evening low light outfit, so it’s alright. I’ll wear it a few times to justify the purchase, and I’m sure I’ll get positive comments on it, but for $50 you can certainly find a nicer made similar option.
