In 2014, Akisha represented Curacao at Miss Earth 2014 at the age of 19 where she competed with Jamie Herell of the Philippines who was hailed as the winner.
In 2017, Akisha Got picked as the representative of her country at the Reina Hispanoameracana 2017 where she earned 1st Runner-up Place to Miss Philippines WinWYn Marquez who won the title.
we’ll that was crazy joining in two international contests and having a winner from the same country in the end.
In 2018, Akisha represented Curacao in the Very Unforgettable Miss Universe 2018 edition in Thailand.
She made it to the top 10, and guess what, the winner was from the Philippines again, and that was Lava Queen Catriona Gray.
Coincidentally, in all international pageants that Akisha joined, the representatives of the Philippines WON!

They were all about connections. In life, if you don't have connection, then you will have a tough chance to fulfill your dream. Just like most winners, they said if they win, they will helping needy people. Honestly they just said. How often do you see those winners doing charities works? Most of them spending times on social media, fashion show, modeling, apply a tone on layers of makeup, etc.. Pageantry industry is mostly rigged. They already knew who they wanted to be the winner before the final show. Catriona won because she had connection. Honestly she is just an average woman. Her body wasn't great compare to other contestants.

I feel bad for her, honestly. Natapat sya s mga magagaling nating candidates. I hope sumali sya ulit sa any beauty contest but this time, I WISH HER TO WIN THE TITLE. Let's be happy for her.
