I want her to win for selfish reasons lol. We rarely get representatives of colour who place this high in people's list. Zozi was not in people's top five until the prelims. Even after that no very few gave her top five. Leila Lopez was also not paid attention to, the same was done to Miss Botswana in 1999. We normally come out of nowhere. This is the first time I sense Ashley is the Catharine we needed.

Ashley, like a handful of other delegates this year, has everything needed to secure the crown. It really comes down to her ability to pull it all together on finals night and delivering a performance that not only impresses the judges but leaves no doubt in their minds that she can fulfill all the duties of Miss Universe and represent the crown with dignity and grace. Like many, I will not be surprised to see her in the top five.
