Title: GORGEOUS!
Review: I have wanted to try this brand for some time, and was thrilled to finally have the opportunity to do so. Especially with this dress- it’s so beautiful! I have been intrigued by how this brand achieves period looks that are stylish by adding modern elements to the design. It’s really artfully done!I ordered up, being between sizes. I could have ordered down for sure. That said, I tend to prefer a little room for weight fluctuations, and it’s not so loose that it fits awkwardly or anything. The fabric is unlike anything I can remember feeling before. It’s such an amazing texture of fabric, feels incredible, and because it’s a super light fabric, it moves so beautifully. The fabric is so animated. It is a fabric that can have a tendency to stick to the underdress (which is also so comfortable- downright pleasant even!), so I would take a few and do whatever works for you to let the static out. For me, a blow dryer on a very low heat setting was perfect.The bodice of the dress adds some super visually interesting details. The corset is not overdone- I’ve definitely seen that on other corset dresses from time to time, but while the corset is present, it is more understated. That’s exactly what I want out of anything I wear, in general. From jewelry to clothing and shoes, I’m a huge fan of understated designs that aren’t loudly screaming for attention, but instead draw the eye with elegant and unique details that make the piece beautiful. The neckline and sleeves are just perfectly sized to add more animation and interest in the fabric, and the neckline and chest area lead into the corset flawlessly.I’m genuinely so in love with this dress. The details definitely aren’t fighting for center stage; they compliment one another beautifully, whilst also standing perfectly on their own, and then collectively they come together to create a dress that definitely speaks to an older time, but brings in modern elements and details that bring the period flawlessly into the now. I’m so impressed with the overall design, the fabric used (on the inside and out), the fit and the feeling of wearing it- it’s not just comfortable and pleasant to the touch, but I also feel absolutely stunning in it. This dress is a high recommend on my list!

Title: I feel like a princess!
Review: I love this dress SO much! It’s made so well and it’s super comfortable! Plus, there are pockets! The color is as shown in the picture, it’s a very pretty green. It’s not see through whatsoever and it’s super breathable. I am short, 5’2 short and it doesn’t drag along the ground at all. I ordered the size based off my measurements to the chart and I probably could’ve gotten away with a size smaller but it still fits great! Highly recommend for a festival!

Title: Beautiful
Review: Be warned fellow shorties, this way be too long (I’m used to that so didn’t allow that to affect my rating). This is a lovely dress. It does seem to hold static, but not to the point of being intolerable. Be aware that the faux corset mid section is not like a corset in any way, just resembles the style. I wore this out and about today because I could, but seriously this would make a great cosplay or costume/dress up piece. The material flows nicely, breathes pretty well, and is comfortable.

Title: Defective item, staticy, see-through.
Review: I’m 5ft 107 lbs and this brand is hit or miss with me. I have many of their skirts that I love. I was excited that this dress fit well with a slight poof along the back, but it didn’t look bad! I couldn’t wait to take it to france with me. We have one problem.. I noticed pink spots as soon as I removed it from the package. Upon closer inspection, it looks like pink marker used in making the dress. The dress is also really staticy. It was so bad, it made my hair fly out! It is also very sheer and see-through in the tan color. Some of their dresses are made with a much better material. The outer chiffon seems like it would snag easily if you have pets. I wish this were the more cotton feel material they use in their scrunchy top dresses, but I’m glad it doesn’t have the heavy polyester thick material used in other styles. Also, why don’t they have XS as an option!? They have all these other sizes and I noticed so many other women in the same boat as me. We have to keep ordering and returning until we find a size small that’s cut just right to pull off. Please make XS. Small people like Renaissance clothing too! Amazon will not let me upload a photo of the marker dots on the corset.

Title: Super comfy
Review: This corset dress from Scarlet Darkness isn’t actually a corset but it looks very flattering as it gives me the illusion of a smaller waist. The green is a pretty deep olive tone and it compliments most skintones. The zipper isn’t bad but I imagine it will fail over time like most hidden zippers do.This was very comfortable to wear and I found I could wear this without a bra and not have any issues. I think this is a very pretty spring dress and a good value.

Title: Cute Dress
Review: This dress is absolutely lovely. I ordered an XXL in Green. The color is exactly as shown in the photo, and the dress looks exactly as pictured as well. The fit is really nice, and the lightweight fabric is super comfortable. The material is of good quality as well, and can be dressed up or down depending on what you hope to wear the dress to.
