The Miss Arc Broward pageant, a competition for children and teens with special needs, isn’t what you’d expect from a typical beauty pageant. These young women get the chance to perform onstage for hundreds of audience members, fighting any stereotypes that people might have about disabilities. Broadly follows Josie and Hannah Crank, teen sisters from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as they vie for the crown.

Seeing those two young girls talking about wanting to be as smart as the other kids broke my heart. I believe everyone is smart in different ways, it hurts to see school make those kids feel less than what they are. Hopefully they put those kiddos into some clubs or sports where they feel equal to others.

  9. Such a sweet loving family. You can tell they really love each other and care about each other. I wish every disabled child had as wonderful and loving families as these little girls do

  10. Pardon me while I cry off my water proof mascara lol! What a lovely cause and what a lovely organization!

  11. Awee sweet girls. It's unfortunate that they didn't win, but i think it's a great opportunity for them to grow as people. It's so wonderful that pageants like this one exist, which is not something i thought i'd say, since most pageants are a bit… questionable. Thank you for giving this opportunity to those who really need it. 💕

  12. Hannah and Josie are absolutely stunning! It looks like they were having a great time. I'm really happy this pageant exists. Awesome concept.
