The Miss Arc Broward pageant, a competition for children and teens with special needs, isn’t what you’d expect from a typical beauty pageant. These young women get the chance to perform onstage for hundreds of audience members, fighting any stereotypes that people might have about disabilities. Broadly follows Josie and Hannah Crank, teen sisters from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as they vie for the crown.

Seeing those two young girls talking about wanting to be as smart as the other kids broke my heart. I believe everyone is smart in different ways, it hurts to see school make those kids feel less than what they are. Hopefully they put those kiddos into some clubs or sports where they feel equal to others.
This seems like less of a pageant and more of a sort of talent show? Either way seems great.

It's so wonderful that pageants like this one exist, which is not something i thought i'd say, since most pageants are a bit… questionable. Thank you for giving this opportunity to those who really need it. 💕
