This is one of the few years where I think more than four teams had a legitimate shot at winning the championship. All the way down to Oregon at 8. Both Ohio State and Oregon could’ve beaten Michigan and Washington. Then they’d be number one or two.
I really wish we had a 8 team playoff this year. I think we’re getting cheated out of some good football.

The way they found was to beat the #1 team in the country. A two time defending national champion at that. On the same day FSU struggled to beat a Louisville team that had just lost to an unranked Kentucky. A Kentucky team that Alabama had beaten by 4 TD's less than a month ago.
Come on people this isn't hard. If anyone thinks that FSU is a better team than Alabama is they don't understand the game. Was FSU a more deserving team since they went 13-0? Probably. It could be argued but it's not as cut and dry as who is better. But putting who is more deserving in is not the committee's job. They are supposed to put the 4 best teams in and based on the results on the field they did that.
They killed the sport today. They screwed over a team that earned their shot to play for a title for money and everybody knows it wether they say it or not.
I think Paul Fomba just said it was really absurd is the fact that the Georgia Bulldogs are considered the number 6 team in this country 😂 i’m a Bama fan and I’m glad we got past that hurdle. Don’t have to see those guys again.🥳

Total Opponents Win-Loss Record following Conference Championships: Texas 91-67, Alabama 92-65, Washington 87-72, Michigan 83-75, Florida State 74-82. Sorry FSU, you played the weakest schedule of all Power 5 Conference Champions. Even if you hadn't lost your quarterback, you weren't going to go anywhere if you got in because all the teams you beat in your undefeated season were not as good as the cumulative teams a number of one loss Conference Champions beat….see Colley's Bias Free Matrix, the only TRUE Comparison of Team Strength of Schedule based solely on games played, won and lost….the quality of your wins is not on par with the best. If it were me since this is the last year. And we have a crowd at the top. I would just do a modified 16 Playoff. I would have Alabama play Flo Rida State. Texas play Georgia. The winners are through those 2 games. Go into the 3 and 4 slots. Just like they are currently in other words, if Georgia was to be Texas, they'd be on the 3 slot. If Florida was to beat Alabama, they'd be in the forest slot. And then that would be that would be the. Semi's and then the finals would be of course the finals. it doesn't really matter if they do that. Because this is the last year for it. It's going to go to 12. Why not extend it a couple to make it a real Playoff? I don't think anybody can argue with those 16 and any one of those 16 who went when. Would be would be the champion.. I know they won't do that but I wish they would and I think they can. I don't think the rules prohibit it. Especially since this is the elast game. The last season is gonna be 4 teams. Hell, they pretty much make up whatever rules they want. Whenever they want to match the situation. Why don't they just make up this rule this time.

Texas and Alabama would demolish FSU right now. Yes, FSUs defense is elite, but if your barometer is (laughs) Louisville you’re insane. Texas and Alabama are not Louisville. It would be low scoring, but imagine your offense going 3 and out each position your elite defense will tire out. Texas and Alabama would eventually tire out that defense and strike.

I’d hate to be on this committee. Incredible power but also an incredible burden. Half the country loves them right now and half the country hates them.
If winning a conference Championship is not important why play them, if. Being undefeated does not count then on field performance is not important , then it becomes a matter of subjective evidence and popularity. There are cases where teams lose early games and by the end of the season are the best teams in the country but don’t get in unless they are part of SEC and are told you loss a game. But not this year.
