At that time, Bob was doing both the Miss USA and Miss Universe shows until later in the decade where he stepped away due to the fur coat controversy. It probably wasn't until a year later or so in 1982 (or even late in 1981) when fur coats were no longer given away on the show.
You can tell this episode is from the ninth season (September 1980-May or June 1981).
That was the last Friday in January of 1981.
The cars were won in this episode, shame about the sporty truck being lost in the showcase.
