Get Pageant Questions Written By A Miss Universe Judge
Nassau, Bahamas – In what has become the ‘Miss Universe’ of pageants in The Bahamas, the Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Pageant took place on August 21st at the Rainforest Theatre to a packed house of enthusiastic family, friends and supporters of the 21 contestants vying for the coveted title. Hosts for this year’s pageant were Terrance Smith, a graduate of the San Juan School of Theatrical Art in Puerto Rico and Aneka Stuart-Russell, writer and ; Communications and Journalism major at College of the Bahamas. Judging in this year’s pageant was Nestaea Sealy, Former Miss Bahamas 1996; Juliette Sargent, Former Miss Bahamas 1997; Tracyann Perpall, Former Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Intercontinental 2006; Deidre Turnquest, Member of the original Miss Bahamas Committee; Ranard Henfield, CEO, 242 People Clothing; and Robbin Whachell, Editor, TheBahamasWeekly.com. Within the first half hour of the show, the 21 contestants were reduced to the top 15. This year, adding to the excitement, one lucky young lady got a second chance with a wild card ‘contestant’s choice’ as the final 15 finalists got to vote on which of the remaining girls would have a 2nd chance. That lucky lady was 17 year old Dawnishka Ari Morley. Next the 16 contestants took part in the swimsuit competition and the Fashionista Evening Gown Competition before the judges reduced the numbers to the top 10 finalists. These 10 finalists had to then compete in the mini interview competition and answer questions they picked from a bowl.
