Defeat is a bitter pill to swallow. The judges know more than the viewers favourites. Fans don't have access to inside information from the preliminaries.

The biggest thing for me Alvin with Andrea, is that she looked the most comfortable, calm and natural on stage in the top 5. That is the honest truth and her answers were good, so she was the clear winner for me.

Great job Alvin, I have follow the Miss Universe pageant for 20 yrs now, every year I had my favorite contestants to win the crown, some would make it and wouldn't but as a fan I never made any degrading comments about the winner….because I knew they were put there for a reason, what the judges saw i might just missed it. A Miss Universe has to be the complete package, from charisma, to knowledge, to supporting a cause but always how you can make a difference in the word and Andrea Meza is that woman. Im proud that she is our 3rd Miss Universe and number 3 is my lucky number so Im always gonna remember her….you know people say well is my opinion and is free speech…yeah but use it in a constructive way and not destructive…two very different forms
Bitch, if they're gonna judge them from the national costume and preliminary events then they should have crowned her right after the two sessions. What's the point of asking the questions in the final round if good answers don't matter? The other 4 contestants were in top 5 because they're talented and deserving as well.
Considering performances, Amanda from Thailand should be in Top 5.
Vamos hacer honestos, Mexico 🇲🇽 era o es el paquete completo. La respuesta de Andrea fue la mas dicifil a mi parecer y ella la contesto con honestidad. Y realmente como dijo Andy, no hay una respuesta correcta ante esta pandemia que empezo de un dia para otro. Mas sin embargo dijo que si ella hubiera tenido la decision , ella hubiera actuado desde antes que se hizo todo el alboroto para haber salvado vidas……y con su 2da respuesta cayo todos eso malos comentarios……la belleza biene en todas formas …alta baja etc….y es verdad …el problema radica que la gente necesita escuchar que le digan eres hermosa bonita para sentirse bien…y no gente…la belleza una la lleva adentro y fuera….ojo que a mi parecer, Peru si era bellisima pero no transmitia nada cuando hablaba , es de esas mujeres hermosas que no transmiten su escensia…lo que te hacer ser unico…y eso es lo que los jueces vieron……

I really wanted Janick to win because as a real fan I followed all her journey and preparation even before she was miss universe Peru.She competed with her heart,but that doesn't let us send hate to Andrea because she also completely deserved the crown. Hindi umariba si Rabiya as promised. And that gown was disastrous and ruined all the time she spent practicing her pasarela! That gown was made to hang on a statue or mannequin cause you really cant move in it.

Alviiiin, I'm out of words to describe how much I adore you. You're one of the best pageant enthusiasts. I always loved how polite you are and inspiring while giving your feedback. Our pageant industry and fanbase are kinda toxic.
What I want to say is nobody takes into account, that total score is 1/3 or even 2/3 based on overall performance throughout these two-three weeks. Yes, it;s so important to make an impact during preliminaries.

I agree! If a wonderful final answer or a final statement isn’t consistent with what the contestant said in the private interview, she won’t be the winner.

I would say that three ladies (Peru, Brazil, Dominican Republic) got the typical Miss Universe questions which are recycled pageant questions. Mexico and India got atypical questions, ie Covid questions. They both answered in English and not in their own native language. Thus it is harder for them to come up with words that they don’t usually use in their daily language. So they were at a disadvantaged situation. Therefore both were not able to give good answers. However, Mexico was able to redeem herself when she gave her final presentation in Spanish. Her win was based on her overall performance and the judges did not hold it against her on that sole bad answer.

I have been following the Miss Universe candidates from the get go. But almost immediately I gained love & much respect for Miss Universe Mexico 🇲🇽 Andrea Meza. I watched Andrea flourish from the beginning of her journey to the Miss Universe night & of her coronation of the Miss Universe Crown👑. I knew she would be Top 5. And hoping she would win the MU crown. I was confident in Andrea,, because Andrea demonstrated that she, was a very confident & strong candidate throughout the competition. All ladies worked very hard. And I COMMEND them. But I CONGRATULATE Andrea Meza.. She was remarkable. And a well deserving win. Andrea is a beautiful role model as well. I agree with you. And I also ask the people that were upset with Andrea winning Miss Universe.. I ask them to respect the judges choice"" & decision. Respect Andrea and ANDREA's fans. And if you can't do that. Then don't coment at all. Give Andrea the opportnity,, and wish her luck, throughout her journey as Miss Universe❤👑🙏
