I remember laughing, nodding, realizing in that critical moment that I had a pivotal choice – whether to ride the fence and keep the entire judging panel happy, or speak my truth – regardless of how it was received, whatever the consequences of judging may be?!?
So, a quick prayer, I swallowed hard, took a deep breath, rubbed my hands slowly together, accepting the challenge, thinking
“You really want to go there? ALRIGHT THEN….LET’S DO THIS!!! 🤣)” And said:

“VACCINE MANDATES… SO, I UNDERSTAND THE SHORT TERM HEALTH CRISIS, AND I UNDERSTAND WHERE EVERYONE IS COMING FROM WITH THE HEART TO KEEP OUR FAMILIES AND OUR NEIGHBORS HEALTHY. AT THE SAME TIME, I THINK IT WOULD BE FOLLY AS A COUNTRY AND AS A WORLD TO FOREGO THE LONG-TERM BENEFITS OF PROTECTING INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS….”

At THAT moment, the crowd exploded SO loudly, SO boisterously, SO suddenly, that I literally could NOT complete my sentence over the ROAR!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪💪💪💪🤗🤗🤗😊
I was SHOCKED at the overwhelming response!! It felt like the frustrations of all those feeling silenced had been let OUT 💥
For whatever reason (I’m not saying it was just this), I didn’t progress to the Top 3. I didn’t win (although I ADORE the woman who did — follow her! @shaylynsford) but in so many ways, I feel I did. WE DID. 🎖️🇺🇲💪
We all have moments to decide whether to remain quiet, not ruffle feathers, not risk w/a dissenting voice.
We are all asked to remain quiet about things we disagree w/every day….
But in THAT moment, with my decades-long goal on the line, I was given a microphone on an incredible international platform… and I chose to risk, to SPEAK – for me, for the collective “US”. And THAT’s worth it ALL. 👊

Pushpika was so beautiful 🤩🇱🇰 😢 unfortunately her personality sucks just because of her intention to enter politics she tried to use this prestigious platform for that and ended up shaming the entire nation… if she would have been little bit smarter and have had a pure intention.. for the actual crown 👑 to serve the purpose she could have been at least 2nd or 3 rd runner up but her intention wasn’t Good 😢 & God knew it.
