Brechtje is raised on a pig farm. It would seem like a perfect place to grow up, with all that space and animals. But Brechtje has another opinion. Mucking out a pig sty is dirty work and it stinks! She is bored, this is no place for a girl she thinks. Brechtje likes to fantasize about life outside the farm, a life in the big city.
