Practical skills are the best part of your list; video editing, establishing relationships with local govs, etc.
Here's another, enroll in short courses on public speaking and even a writing class. Writing trains your mind to organize and focus your thoughts and ideas. Speech classes can provide tools for relaxation, confidence and power.

I agree that they should coordinate with LGU or cities but not only for tourism video but also for any meaningful charity work or local experiences (even local environmental projects) which would give their candidacy more substance and relevance.
Miss Agusan tourism video is very good as well. Anyway, any expectation or wishlist format for this years MUP. I hope they will apply the same format last year but have a Miss France kinda show presentation – entertaining and exciting.

All i can advise to any Pageant girls who wants to join in any national pageants, not just in MUP (but were really very critical to MUP candidates), is to have that strong MENTAL FORTITUDE. She must be OPEN TO CRITICISMS and NOT EASILY HURT (WAG BALAT SIBUYAS), be it good or bad. Must be able to FILTER what she need to absorb which she thinks that would be helpful for her pageant journey. NOT ALL BAD CRITICISMS ARE BAD we can learn and improve from it. She cant just limit herself to just POSITIVE criticisms its as if shes PERFECT and theres nothing to IMPROVE from her. sometimes, pinupuri ka just to please you, sinasabi maganda, kahit may mali. POSITIVE CRITICISMS can be BAD as well and may lead to MEDIOCRITY.

I also think that the women have to compete at MUP just like they are in Miss Universe. Just like Catriona Gray, she gave her all in BP and even enhanced that in MU and that is why she won MU2018. :>
