  1. While ur at host country for future MW venues, Julia M n company 31:59 has been “courting” including frequent official visits to Manila as well as Filipinos’ varied participation in yearly MW – Filipina Megan Young as program host n online singing by Filipino orphans among others
Perhaps Julia M n company were snobbed & hosting proposal rejected by Philippine Govt
It’s May not be right time AGAIN for Philippine hosting
However, Julia M’s disappointment over Phil Govt rejection May have resulted to the total snub of this year’s MW Philippines Gwendolyn Fourniol NOT making first cut top 40 – despite top placements in preliminary activities?

  2. Why are you so stuck on Botswanas voice ? We get it ! You didn’t like her voice , talk about how people are saying she was robbed of the crown, Botswana 🇧🇼 definitely deserved to win

  3. As a Motswana, being objective, I can see why CR won. Her response was engaging at a personal level, but also addressed the question at hand.

I feel what Lesego was doing in the final response is exactly what Uganda did in the top 8 😂
She should have picked one point and stuck to it. Her many points were too many cooks spoiling the broth, and made her answer unnecessarily long. Instead of concise and punchy.

However people saying her response was narcissistic, I find it hilarious. The question required her to pitch herself, so I don’t understand why selling her best qualities to the judges was a problem. That’s what we all do in job interviews. And this in a way was a job interview. I can see a touch of putting women down for talking themselves up. This has been such a thing in history that women are meant to be humble and not promote themselves. I don’t think the content in response was problematic at all. I also didn’t mind her voice. 😂

I believe she lost points from having too many ideas that were (which made her seem unsure of the goal of her response), and not engaging the audience and judges at a personal level.

  4. Yeah I just didn’t get Lebanon and why she was in the top anything that required a speech. I felt her responses lacked purpose.

I know they don’t speak English as much in her part of the world, and that may be a disadvantage for many non English speaking countries contestants. Having said that though, she is a actually a good English speaker.

But in my opinion, her answers were just blah. It was more about evoking emotions in relation to geo politics from her part of the world- and yes what is happening in her part of the world is terrible and totally unacceptable. And I do follow those issues closely as a citizen of the world who has some Lebanese acquaintances where I live and are among some of the people who understand me better.

However I believe the content of her responses was more emotionally charged rather than clearly addressing the task/question at hand. Even at the head to head challenge, I still don’t get what her purpose was. Yes, let’s speak up for women in war zones. But how are we doing that exactly. By speaking at the miss world pageant? Is that it? Like, I was at a loss as to why she was in the top 5 there.

As terrible as it sounds, I feel her votes were more about sympathy, rather than merit.

  5. I’m satisfied with Lebanon as first runner up because she gave a message to the liders of the world of what is going on right now in her area , and we need to be more sympathetic with this issue that is affecting the Middle East.

  6. I don't think going second at the QnA round was necessarily at advantage since the second woman will have to come up with an original or different answer from the first. Especially since many of the questions were very standard topics. Further Miss World goes less for well rehearsed or executed answers versus a delegate who speaks from her heart and is presenting as authentic. Over prepared candidates who come to compete fear worse than contestants who are just themselves and in the moment. Maybe that's why your analysis is off and women who do well in Miss Universe don't do as well in Miss World and vice versa. It's important to understand the approach of each system and what they want from their winners.

  7. Over the past decades, European victories in beauty contests have not been frequent and even qualifying for the top 5 or even top 15 has been a rarity. Especially Miss Universe consists only of representatives from Americas and Asia (over the last 30 years, only 1 from Europe, 1 from Australia and a maximum of 3 from Africa). And of course the same countries every year, i.e. the USA, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Thailand, India, South Africa, Venezuela, Colombia, Jamaica, Brazil, etc. and every year the same black hair, the same dark eyes and the same stories. And here, oh my God, what a tragedy, because a European girl won the Miss World crown even she was blonde and beautiful as an angel, and a year earlier a European also won, even more beautiful and also blonde. And on top of all this, both of them have perfect bodies, beautiful faces and have a something cleaver to say, with good education and perfect knowledge of foreign languages, especially English and super kind and super nice and good volunteer workers. But from Europe, what a political incorrect, because only Asians or Latinas can win the crown of beauty.

  8. I will honestly say your prediction and analysis of the show are disastrous. Do you even know how this competition works? You had some good points, Botswana no MW has always been an unbiased competition. The selection was very fair based on the competitions. Also, i don't know what your issue is with lebanon she was stunning, maybe because you're not used to seeing lebanon Place like the Philippines and thailand Usa venezuela colombia……, also Botswana was very deserving except her voice 👎

  9. After India answered the question, miss Lebnan was given the answer, during this time julia wrote and smiled, then I understood the Lebnon going to the next round instead of India.

  10. Julia Morley used to mention the year whenever she announced the winner like "Miss World 2014 is (name of country)" but in the last two editions she hasn't mentioned the year. She just said "Miss World is (name of country)". Till now many pageant fans do not know whether Karolina (Poland) was Miss World 2021 or 2022. The same goes with Czech Republic this year. We don't know whether she is Miss World 2023 or 2024.

  11. That's not Miss World who did the small box sittings for the rest of the pageants …. It's the Jio Convention centre in Mumbai .. it's their decoration , their effort and hospitality and creativeness done by them besides Miss World the idea of such decoration was of Jio Convention Centre In Mumbai…. In India ❤❤❤❤

  12. Botswana had a bad flu Rina…I remember watching her live at 1am the morning of the competition and i was sick worried about how she was gonna answer questions because her voice was really bad….so that explains why her voice was offish!
